SOMEONE finally lost her first tooth at almost seven years old!

LOVE her crooked little I’m-tired-of-smiling fake smile in that last one!
Mom: I bet she's thrilled!!! She looks so cute.
Pa: wow she sure did! I am sooooo! looking forward to friday!
Alison: So cute! Did the tooth fairy come?
andrea: Beautiful...as usual...
Kristin: I just wanted to tell yout hat I love your photography. It's really amazing.
jennifer: oh yay such an exciting time in her life right now, love that last shot!
Audrey: Awww....she looks so proud!! :)
cynthia: yes, those pics won't be quite the same for awhile! my son lost his first tooth on his 7th birthday...and it was the most exciting present of all!
And, I know it’s, like, Wednesday. But, it’s just been THAT busy that I’m only now recovering. Well… that, and I tried to blog this last night, but in the MIDDLE of typing up my blog, the power went out with a storm. Great. I always LOVE losing things like that. Sigh. Whatever.
So. This weekend we had the pleasure of celebrating two three pretty cool occasions! First, early Saturday afternoon we went to Cam’s & Ky’s birthday party. Good times. They had a pool for the kids, horse rides & a pinata. Could it BE more fun? (Any Friends fans out there, by the way?)
Then, from there, we went straight to my cousin Jesse’s high school graduation. Way to go, Jesse! I’m very proud of him and enjoyed getting to see him walk across the stage & get that diploma. He’ll be heading to school sooner rather than later, as he’s going to be a part of a summer program in his area of study… something computer related, I know, but I’m not sure of the specifics.
And, then, on Sunday, we went back to my aunt Rob’s house for a graduation party in Jesse’s honor. That was fun. It always is. The kids played in the little pool, and everyone else just hung out.
So, if you can imagine, I’ve got a ZILLION photos from the weekend. In fact, I took SO many photos that I actually didn’t have any room on my hard drive for them all. That, of course, really speaks to the mass quantities of pictures that I keep on my computer at any one time. Oh well… I’ve GOT to figure out a better way. But, I digress.
Anyway, I was finally able to sit down with the pictures last night. I didn’t get all that far, though, before I decided to just blog a few. So, this is really only a peak at what I’ve got. And, for some reason, I didn’t get any pictures of Camden at the birthday party. He wasn’t wanting much to do with me. And, with Katie’s family visiting from California, there were SO many kids to photograph, including her sweet new little one Indee.
Here we go!

What’s with these two? They look happy, eh?

I LOVE to photograph this one. She’s SUCH a doll:

They wanted to run the pinata show rather than hit the pinata! Crazy boys!

Waiting in line for their turn to take a whack at the pinata. Of course, if you ask me, it looks like Emma’s about to get beat up by her cousins. Ha!

The party was hosted in Grandma’s big, beautiful back yard.

LOVE this next set. Ky & his horse:

And, then it was on to Jesse’s graduation. Getting photos there was… ummm… kinda tough. The sun was setting RIGHT in our faces behind the ceremony. By the time the sun set, well… then it was dark. Sigh. I think they could have planned that a little better, but they didn’t ask me for my opinion.

He’s got his diploma, and he’s outta there.

So… that was Saturday. It was over to Rob’s on Sunday, and here are a few quick ones from that party. I’ve got TONS more that I need to go through. Here’s Indee Faith. She’s a little oinker, but man, if she’s fed, she’s happy! Sweet thing.

Okay… these next few require a little explanation. My uncle Robert is a wonderful photographer. As a child, he’s the first person I remember really admiring his photos. I think he should do more with it! (Hint, hint Robert!) Anyway, he pulled out some filters, and we gave them a play. I’m not sure what they were called, but I think they added such an interesting aspect to these photos. Several of them almost look vintage straight out of the camera. It’s just a different look… kinda fun! He actually let me borrow them, so I can’t wait to play a bit more. In the meantime, here’s a few from my first play with them.
Luke with his new super cool vintage-y haircut. I LOVE it! I think it suits him perfectly.

I think this is my favorite from the day. I just LOVE the feel of it. It makes me think of all the old pictures we have of us as kiddos in a little pool. So fun.

These were taken with all different filters, thus the difference in colors, etc.

My main man Kru:

Finishing off the post with a sweet one of Josie. She also graduated this year… from preschool. Ha! So cute! I’ve actually got some pictures of the graduates together, but I haven’t gotten that far.

That’s it for now!
Alison: They are all great, I really like the graduation one of everyone throwing their hats. Oh and I'm sure Kyden and Calee were not happy because they were not on the horse
Mom: That stinks that your power went out in the middle of blogging - I'm glad you got back to it this morning though. Love all the photos, great job as always.
brandi: i also love the hat one at graduation! they are all so good! i can't believe jesse graduated....we are freakin old!
andrea: I love them Amy! You're very talented!
Okay, so, if this isn’t *the* cutest thing, I don’t know what is. And, yes, I know it’s just a mom thing… maybe a dad thing & grandparent thing, too. But, I’m just seriously impressed with something Emma has learned this year at school. It melts my heart. I love that she speaks this into her life daily, and I hope that she wholly believes every word.
For those that aren’t her parent or grandparent or some other family member that thinks this is sweet, at least be impressed with the sheer NUMBER of verses she’s learned. It’s 20+ at my calculation. It goes on and on and on. Oh, and there are outtakes at the end. Cute kid.
http://www.vimeo.com/4794554Yeah… I think she replaced verse 17 with verse 14 again. But, hey… can you blame the kid? That’s A LOT to remember!
And, I’m no movie maker. Don’t judge. Ha!
Liz: That is seriously one fo the cutest things I have seen in a long, long time. How in the world did she learn all of that?
Nanny: This is wonderful. Thank you for making the video. I want one to save on my computer. Emma you are one smart gal.
Stephanie: Omgoodness!!!!!! That is SOOOOO cute.... I literally was laughing out loud at the end. Too funny. She's SO smart :)
Mom: So cute and so smart! Thanks for sharing it for us grandmas!
Misti: Emma, that is SUPER AWESOME! Way to go, girl!
brandi: so cute!
Kami: Holy Smokes, that is total cuteness! I don't think I could even memorize that whole thing.
andrea: I love it!
Tara: There is no greater joy as a mother than to know that your children walk in truth....
Julia: I never leave a comment even if your photos are a huge inspiration. But this is just so cute, your girl has an impressive memory! Delightful blog you have :)
Ashley Wilkins: My hubby, mom, dad, and me watched the whole thing last night. We are all in amazement that Emma could memorize something so long at her age! That motivates me to quit trying to excuse myself not to memorize verses! She rocks! Thanks for putting that up. Oh, and I LOVE the outtakes.
wendy: I am amazed! great job. and so lovely cute. wonderful!
jaimie haley: Emma, you are amazing. I am blown away!
Judith: wow, that is amazing, i dont even post comments but this is an exception, i love that!
Janine Copeland: "And my mom made me do this one thousand times!", what an absolute champion Emma. Capturing that all on film is just priceless.
Eric Codrington: That was too cute. I love it. The blooper part at the end made me LOL.
Alison: Emma is too smart! She's got an excellent memory and I love the outtakes
Christine: amazing! thank you for sharing. and oh--I'm so going to copycat and video my daughter. we're working on Ps 23 (not quite as impressive...but I hope someday we'll make it to Ps 139).
Mom: I've never seen this movie - looks funny!
Cara: This is totally my fave part in the movie too!! Love it!!
